Reflection on Group Communications

As a result of our team's efforts, we determined that there were five target schools in the Red Clay Consolidated School District that needed the most assistance with providing school uniforms. We determined through surveys we constructed and gave to the at-risk schools that approximately 9,400 clothing items (shirts, skirts, etc.) are needed.

In short, the group dynamics throughout the Tier 2 project were quite enjoyable and acted as fodder for productive discussion. All four members (including myself) has similar approaches to conflict resolution, meaning group decision making was easier, and we relied upon regular meetings to talk about any concerns we had regarding the project. This allowed us to develop a sense of trust between members to act as a solid foundation for a healthy team.

Philosophy

Team work doesn't have to be a dreaded requirement for a project. It can be an enriching, fulfilling opportunity to work with like-minded individuals with a shared goal. The only way to allow this to happen, however, is to be honest in each other's abilities and expectations as well as creating a respectful environment for all members to have the liberty to speak freely.
