My strengths have enabled me to be a knowledgable, supportive team member who is always willing to assist colleagues. When delegating responsibilities for the Tier 2 project, I was assigned the roles of "Time and Task Manager" and "Proofreader". The trait of a mentor is not to tell others what to do, but rather gently guide them into the right direction for success. "Being clear and consistent with deadlines" is just one way to do this, as it will allow all members to finish tasks on time and benefit the project overall. This is not synonymous with demanding others that they must have a particular task done by a certain time or else. Rather, it's a suggestion for when a certain task should be completed and help will be offered if there are struggles along the way.
While my strengths have been helpful in group dynamics, my shadows have occasionally complicated them during the Tier 2 Project. As shown in the image above, I have the propensity to worry unnecessarily. Outside of the BHLP, during my audition process to enter Riot Act, there was a situation in which there was a miscommunication between me and another member. These auditions were open and encouraged to be laid-back, including laughing with and mildly heckling fellow auditioning members. After a callback audition in which I mock-heckled an auditioning member pointing harmless fun at my major, my nerves got the best of me and caused me to send the message above, as I was afraid that I hurt the participant's feelings. While everything turned out for the best, I realized that I needed to work on processing my worries in a healthy way before going into a tailspin.
